Ms. Nicole Clements

My Name is Nicole, and I have been in the Early Childhood industry in Australia for 13 years. I completed a Diploma of Children's Services at Swinburne University in Australia in 2007, and then went on to complete an Advanced Diploma of Children's Services in 2010. I moved to Canada to pursue my career in education, while learning from multiple countries around the world. I am very passionate about my role as an educator and want to inspire change in young children.

My practices strongly reflect those of the Resources for Infant Educators (RIE theory), a philosophy of infant care based on treating children with respect and to trust in their abilities to develop naturally at their own pace. I believe that respecting children is at the forefront of early childhood education, teaching them how to cope with different emotions, how to recognize what they are feeling and have the confidence and skills to problem solve. These dispositions are so imperative to life and will carry on through the course of their lives.
